Staffordshire CF Area Chairman

CF to open new branch in Cannock Chase

Working with students from Cannock College, and Ian Collard of Cannock Chase Conservatives, Matt Lewis has been working towards the creation of a Conservative Future branch in Cannock Chase. This represents an amazing breakthrough for the party in an area in which traditionally the Tories have little joy, and is the culmination of much hard work and effort by all involved.

Due to be officially launched this month, the finishing touches are being put to the set-up in consultation with its potential members, allowing for a constitution to be agreed upon and elections for the maiden executive to be held. Matt Lewis, Deputy Area Chairman for Staffordshire CF, said "Cannock is an area that I never thought would see a CF branch, and judging from the meetings I've had with the guys and girls who will become the group's first members, this branch is going to be one of Staffordshire's finest, and certainly will be active in campaigning for the party, many of its soon-to-be-members already heavily involved with the party locally.

Staffordshire Area Chairman, and fellow NME candidate Owen Meredith said, "Matt and I made it one of our key goals to increase the number of branches within the county whilst strengthening and further integrating the many fine branches that already exist here. CF is certainly in very healthy shape in Staffordshire, and Matt has done a brilliant job in bringing CF in Cannock Chase to life. This just demonstrates what a fantastic Area team we have here, and that the Tory party is well and truly back in business".
