Change of Direction for CF4B
Conservative Future 4 Britain (CF4B) founder Thomas Wales has taken the decision to radically alter the format of the group; it will no longer expressly back candidates in the forthcoming elections, but will instead be an open-to-all forum enabling CF members to discuss the elections, and any other CF or National Party goings-on.
This decision was taken by Wales as it was considered that CF4B
had already achieved its objectives a full 3 months before the elections. With
all the candidates discussing regional representation and making it a key part
of their campaigns, the need for an interest group of the nature of CF4B was
diminished. Three of the CF4B candidates will continue to stand as independents,
although little will change for them other than the removal of the CF4B name
from their literature. The fourth, Richard Lowe, has dropped out of the
elections, stating a desire to focus on continuing his studies, and on helping
promote the Party locally.
