Matt Lewis confirmed as new Staffordshire CF Area Chairman Matt Lewis has today been confirmed as the new Area CF Chairman for Staffordshire. He replaces Owen Meredith, to whom he has been Deputy Chairman for the past two years. Although the official handover will take place at March's Spring Forum, Lewis is keen to get under way and has already begun the organisation of an Area Committee, formed of the county's branch chairmen. He said "I've said countless times on both the Area and National campaign trails that we need a stronger more connected CF identity. By bringing each CF branch chairman in to the running of the Area, I hope to foster a Staffordshire CF identity which can only help strengthen the organisation throughout the county" Outgoing Chairman, Owen Meredith said "Matt has been a fantastic Deputy to me over the last two years, and he has been vital to my efforts to get CF back to a healthy position over the last two years. I am confident that he will carry that momentum forwards as we seek to turn Staffordshire blue." Lewis' term will last for one year. 05.02.2008
